about the writer

Marco Carynnyk is a writer, editor, and translator. Born in Berlin, he lives in Toronto. He has edited and translated Alexander Dovzhenko's autobiography and diary and is working on a book on Dovzhenko. He has also been working on a book entitled Furious Angels: Ukrainians, Jews, and Poles in the Summer of 1941, which Yale University Press will be publishing.
