Nina Sputnitskaya

Nina Sputnitskaya is a film historian, film critic, Candidate of Art History, Senior  Researcher in the Scientific Research Institute of the All-Russians State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), where she graduated from the Cinema Study Department. In 2012 she defended her candidate dissertation. Her research interests include the folkloric foundations of images in film, animation, and contemporary film, televisions. She is the author of the monographs “The problem of Gender in Contemporary Russian Cinema and Televisions” (Moscow, 2016),  “Multitrend: Tendencies in Russian Contemporary Animation” (Moscow, 2016) and “Ptushko & Rou: Master-class of Russian Film-Fantasy” (Moscow, Berlin, 2018).
