Bozidar Zecevic

Film Critic, Serbia

Born in Belgrade 1948. He is Film historian, writer and director, critic and professor of film analysis, founder and editor-in-chief of the film magazine “Filmograf” and chairman of the Serbian Branch of FIPRESCI. He is an actual President  of ASIFA Serbia and member of Presidency opf the National Film Academy. He is a Member of the European Film Academy, Berlin. He graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgarde cum laude and was the Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Film Department of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and New York University. Postgraduate studies at the European Centre for Peace and Development of the University of Peace, United Nations. He lectured on film at American and European universities. He was a Head of the Film Museum of Jugoslovenska kinoteka in Belgrade, documentary programme director of the Radio-Television of Serbia, director of film programme of the Television Politika et al. Published hundreds of articles and six books on film in Serbia and abroad (USA, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Poland). Winner of the national “Golden Pen for Best Film Criticism” 1988. and “Golden Pen for Best Book on Film” 1995. and 2013. He produced many awarded tv shows and series in Serbia and abroad. He was a winner of Jugoslvenska kinoteka Medal for outstanding contibution to the cinema 2009. He is was the winner of International Dostoyevsky Prize for life achievement 2015.
