At this major meeting point for films and filmmakers from Ibero-American countries, Brazilian director Chico Teixeira received our award for his film Alice's House (A casa de Alice).

Filming By Accident. José Carlos Avellar looks at the blurring of boundaries in films where the stories stand on the cusp between fiction and documentary. He also finds in these directors a unison of pure cinematographic pictures created from the same impulse.

Latin American Filmmakers: The Upcoming Talent. Despite a concern about the overall representation of Latin films in this festival, many of those that featured were from new directors. Chiara Arroyo commends the uncompromising storylines of these worlds which are devoid of happy endings.

Young People in Latin American Films. Fernando Palumbo highlights the difficult conditions for some directors in making films that will be considered of a good enough standard for film festivals. In light of this he praises those that have made it and their storylines which reflect such harsh conditions in Latin American countries.
