Ljubljana 2006

At the 17th edition of this festival in the capital city of Slovenia, our prize went to the Hungarian film White Palms (Fehér tenyér), third feature by Szabolcs Hajdu, a partially autobiographical drama about a gymnastics champion. The FIPRESCI jury was especially impressed by its powerful story and the exceptional psychological portrait of protagonists.
