At the occasion of Festival do Rio / Rio de Janeiro Int'l
Film Festival, FIPRESCI awarded as Best Latin American Film of 2003 Ana
and the Others (Ana y los otros) by Celina Murga (Argentina,
2003). The candidates for the prize had been selected by the way of a
survey among Latin American critics, and had been included in the program
of Festival do Rio. The winner has then been decided at the festival and
by a jury composed of Carlos Brandao, Brazil, president, Diego Lerer,
Argentina, Andrea Martini, Italy, Edouard Waintrop, France, Pamela Bienzobas,
Chile, and Daniel Schenker Wajnberg, Brazil.
