Pusan 2003

At this important showcase of Asian cinema, FIPRESCI awarded its prize to the film "Deep Breath" by Iranian filmmaker Parviz Shahbazi, "For its perceptive, courageous and touching portrayal of misguided youth trying to find its own voice in a conservative, restraining society and heralding a new wave of Iranian cinema".
