36th Kiev Molodist-International Film Festival

36th Kiev Molodist-International Film Festival, Ukraine (October 21 - October 29, 2006)

The festival "Molodist — Youth" has always been dedicated to the work of young filmmakers around the world. It organizes a competition for student films, one for first short films of all genres, while the main competition focuses on first feature-length fiction. It's a place for discoveries, and indeed our jury discovered a surprising Russian film: Euphoria by Ivan Vyrypaev. Also interesting for foreign visitors was the non-competition Panorama of Ukrainian Films, made in 2005 and 2006.
