29th Goteborg International Film Festival

29th Goteborg International Film Festival, Sweden (January 27 - February 6, 2006)

The Swedish public can enjoy, at this festival, an overview on recent world cinema, programmed by our colleague Jannike Ahlund. Foreign visitors get offered an extensive impression of Nordic cinema – films coming from all Northern countries, from Denmark to Iceland, from the Baltic Republics to Norway and, of course Sweden itself. Our jury focused on the Nordic competition, and awarded the Critics Prize to A Little Trip to Heaven, the third film which the 40-years old Icelandic actor Baltasar Kormákur directed as filmmaker.
