Berlinale 2004: The Talent Press

The Talent Press had for the first time been organized at the Berlin International Film Festival, as part of the "Talent Campus" initiative. Six young critics had been invited to attend the festival, to make acquaintance with recent world cinema, and to meet experienced colleagues. They wrote on their impressions, guided by Derek Malcolm, Aruna Vasudev and Chris Fujiwara. Five young film journalists were writing on daily events - selected texts appearing here and on the Talent Campus website.

Wednesday, February 11: "A Day on a Planet", On Frances McDormand, On Ken Adam, "I Like to Work", On the Berlin FIPRESCI jury, On the Talent Campus, "End of the Century", On Zbigniew Preisner, On Andrew Lesnie, "Night Songs"

Summary. Pamela Biénzobas sums up the Campus week, a "cross between a workshop and a cinephile feast": "It's Worth It!"
